چکیده
In the Botanical Garden and Research Laboratory of Institute Pure Applied Biology, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan (Pakistan) current work was performed to examine effect foliar spray potassium for lessening toxicity heavy metal in three varieties Canola (Brassica napus L.) viz; Exceed, Cyclone Legend. Seeds were grown pots. They arranged a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). When seeds germinated, some kept without treatment (control) others treated with 15mg/kg 30mg/kg Lead along Potassium spray. Plants harvested subjected phytochemical studies. The role studies (alkaloid, flavonoid, phenolic) showed an increase response against stress. While plants revealed decreased both Pb K expressed lesser compared only metal. This study sheds light on effectiveness improving growth dealing stress decrease harmful metals. However, further are required identify mechanisms mediated alleviation other Keywords: Alkaloid; Canola; Lead; Potassium; Phytochemicals

Influence of lead on growth and nutrient accumulation in canola (Brassica napus L.) cultivars.
Canola (Brassica napus L.) is commonly used as a hyper-accumulator for phytoextraction of heavy metals from soil and water. Like many other heavy metals, lead (Pb) contaminates soil, water and air and thus it is a great problem. This study was conducted to investigate toxic effects of Pb on growth and nutrient uptake in four canola cultivars. Each of four cultivars of canola (Con-II, Con-III, L...

Effects of salt stress on germination, seedling growth and activity of antioxidant enzymes in leaves of six cultivars of canola (Brassica napus L.) were investigated on two F1 hybrids (Hyola401, Hyola330) and four open pollinated cultivars (Zarfam, Okapi, RGs003 and Sarigol). Seeds were germinated under various levels of salinity (0, 50, 100, 150 and 200 mM NaCl solutions). An increase in NaCl ...

Canola is a specific edible type of rapeseed, developed in the 1970s, which contains about 40 percent oil. This research was carried out to determine the yield and some quality characteristics of some winter canola cultivars during the 2010-2011 vegetation period in Central Anatolia of Turkey. In this research; Oase, Dante, Californium, Excalibur, Elvis, ES Hydromel, Licord, Orkan, Vectra, Nels...

Increasing the area of arable oilseed land, particularly rapeseed, and the important role of potassium in yield and oil content, especially in calcareous and high pH soils, need to more knowledge about plant nutrition requirement. In this study, the effect of sources and different levels of potassium fertilizers on some quality and quantity characteristics on canola yield were assessed by combi...
متن کاملRegeneration Potential of Five Cultivars of Canola (Brassica Napus L.) And Agrobacterium-mediated Transformation with the Salt Tolerance Gene mtlD
In order to improve the salt tolerance of some canola genotypes to be suitable for cultivation in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the salt tolerance gene (mt1D) encoding for mannitol-1-phosphate dehydrogenase was introduced to the canola plants using the agrobacterium-mediated transformation. To achieve that, five canola genotypes were selected as a relatively salt tolerance among 15 canola geno...
